According to the financial times, according to a survey released by British supply chain managers, only 20% of British companies can undertake the complex process of trade with the European Union after no agreement is over.

According to the latest UK survey released by the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS), there will be more difficulties in dealing with the EU after the agreement is broken, and trucks with no proper customs clearance will be repatriated instead of waiting in the dock. It is predicted that tens of thousands of trucks will be required to leave the port.

The survey will ask whether British companies have applied for the necessary EORI numbers with the EU customs authorities, whether they can fill out customs declaration forms accurately, whether they have reached an agreement with customs clearance agents or logistics providers, and whether they can identify submission documents software if they are self clearance. However, the results show that only 22% of British enterprises cooperate with EU suppliers to complete the above four necessary export basic conditions, so that they can correctly complete paperwork without any agreement with EU suppliers to export goods to EU Member States.

The 22% companies that are ready to take off Europe are only slightly higher than 14% of the three months of this year. John Glen, an economist with the purchasing and supply Research Institute, said that only a few weeks away from the EU deadline, and the government is faced with the difficult challenge of helping enterprises to accelerate their preparation. According to the survey, many companies imported goods in advance to mitigate the impact of Europe, but nearly 10% companies could not find warehouses for stockpiling.

According to United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA) data, the reserve capacity in the UK has been depleted, and its executive director, Peter Ward, said that the end of October is the beginning of the peak season for retail shopping, such as Halloween (October 31st), Thanksgiving (November 28th), black Friday (November 29th), online shopping Monday (December 2nd) until Christmas, so storage space is quite tight.
