Brazil Implements Final Anti-Dumping Measures Against China'S Four Products

Brazil Development Ministry of industry and foreign trade said in October 5th that it will implement the final anti-dumping measures against four imported products from China from the date of the formal announcement.

Specific products and anti dumping measures are as follows: 1. aluminum precoated photosensitive boards (tariff code: 37013021, 37013031), which impose anti-dumping duties on Chinese products at $10.76 per kilogram, $5.52 per kilogram for Fuji America Corporation products, and 9.24 dollars per kilogram for the rest of the United States, with a period of 5 years.

2. eyeglasses (tariff code: 90031100, 90031910, 90031990, 90049010, 90049090). If the CIF is equal to or lower than 10 US dollars / payment, the anti-dumping duty will be added at 270.56 dollars per kilogram for a period of 5 years.

3. bicycle entirety crankshaft connecting rod (tariff code: 87149990), with an anti-dumping duty of 1.56 dollars per kilogram, for a period of 5 years.

4. bicycle tires (tariff code: 40115000), anti-dumping duty increased from $0.15 per kilogram to US $1.45, until December 18, 2008.

On the same day, the Ministry of industry and foreign trade of Brazil announced the implementation of price agreements for packaging semi hard cardboard (tariff code: 48101389, 48101989 and 48109290) from Chile. The price of double deck paperboard should not be less than 600 US dollars / ton, the price of three layers of cardboard should not be less than 690 US dollars / ton, the import volume of each quarter is 5560 tons, and the temporary anti-dumping measures for the United States and the European Union, including the polycarbonate (tariff code: 39074090) and the German indigo (tax code: 32041590), will be implemented for 6 months.
